FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

1. WHAT ARE LASH EXTENSIONS?
  • Synthetic eyelash extensions are applied to each individual natural lash.
  • Medical grade, semi- permanent glue its used to bond to the base of your natural lash (NOT YOUR SKIN*). Eyelash extensions add the appearance of longer, thicker eyelashes creating different looks based on the curl type, length and width.
  • Applying a full set of lashes takes about one to two hours. The lash extension eventually sheds just as your natural lashes do. Eyelash extensions can be maintained with touch-ups about every two to three weeks.
2. HOW LONG DO LASH EXTENSIONS LAST?
The lash extensions will stay on anywhere from 2 to 6 weeks. The bond life depends on proper after care and proper application. Due to the lashes growth cycle, refills must be applied to fill in the gaps from the natural lashes that have fallen out every 2 to 3 weeks.
3. WILL LASH EXTENSIONS DAMAGE MY NATURAL LASHES?
No. With skilled application and good aftercare the lash extensions will not damage your natural lashes.
4. HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO APPLY A FULL SET OF LASHES?
The application usually takes about 1-2 hour depending on the look.
5. WHAT IS A FILL?
A refill consists of the lash artist going through the lashes to remove grown out lash extensions and add new extensions.
6. HOW LONG DOES A FILL TAKE?
Refills usually take 45 min to an hour.
7. WHAT TO EXPECT DURING THE SERVICE
  • Your eyes will be cleansed and rinsed to remove remaining oils, make up and proteins.
  • Your lower lashes will be covered to prevent contact with the upper lashes during application.
  • Lash extensions will be placed close to the hair root and never touch the skin.
8. HOW TO PREPARE FOR YOUR UPCOMING APPOINTMENT
  • Make sure to come in to your appointment with absolutely no eye-makeup on.
9. EYELASH EXTENSIONS AFTERCARE
  • Do not get your lashes wet for 24 hours after application. This includes avoiding workouts, steam rooms, or hot yoga. The adhesive may reactivate and cause the lashes to stick together.
  • Brush your lashes daily.
  • Cleanse your lashes daily after the 24hr dry period.
  • Resist the urge to pull at the lashes. Pulling, picking, or touching the lashes could damage your natural lashes, not to mention spread bacteria to your eye area.
  • Do not use moisture-rich products around your lashes. Shampoos, conditioners, or oil-based products will eventually loosen the adhesive bond
  • Do not use waterproof eye make up.
